Space Hubbub Over Hubble

[ad_1]

This pair of galaxies colliding together is called UGC 2369. The brown bridge of dust and gas that lock together like fingers show their gravitational interaction. Galaxy interminglings like this fundamentally reshape each object, and like it or not, it's our turn next. The Milky Way is due to our own galactic interaction with Andromeda, and in 4 billion years we will merge into one single galaxy, tentatively nicknamed Milkomeda.
