SpaceX landed three of its boosters for the first time, and yes, it was awesome

Three is certainly a magic number.

SpaceX landed for the first time on Thursday three of its Falcon Heavy rocket boosters, as part of a mission that had been delayed compared to the previous day due to inclement weather.

The Falcon Heavy was launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center at 6:35 pm EDT, carrying the Arabsat-6A communications satellite in its payload.

Eight minutes after take-off, the spaceflight company landed on the Falcon Heavy's overflights in both of the company's landing zones at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base in Florida.

Then, about nine minutes after takeoff, the main thruster landed on the drone "Of course, I still love you", which is in the Atlantic Ocean.

Last year, SpaceX managed to land on two of the Falcon Heavy 's boosters, the third landing 300 miles into the ocean.

Even more cool are the videos of the spectators who watched the boosters land almost simultaneously at Cape Canaveral. We certainly wish we were there.

34 minutes after takeoff, the Arabsat-6A satellite was deployed in orbit during Falcon Heavy's first commercial mission.

The satellite aims to provide communications to people in the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
