SpaceX Starship: Elon Musk confirms that he is building a FLEET rocket of Starship | Science | New

Elon Musk's mission is to revolutionize the world. From PayPal to Tesla via Hyperloop, billionaire rider Musk incorporates cutting-edge technologies to transform lives. The most innovative plan of Elon Musk is SpaceX, which is currently accelerating the production of its Starship Hopper spacecraft, intended to take humanity to the Moon, Mars and beyond.

SpaceX has completed the assembly of the test flight version of the Space Space vehicle colonizing Mars by SpaceX in January.

The suborbital and hop rocket looked nothing like this smooth, shiny craft with three prominent fins leading to landing areas.

And it seems that SpaceX has been busy in the meantime because it has just been confined, the space company is working simultaneously on not one, but two spaceships.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk confirmed in a statement: "SpaceX is simultaneously making concurrent versions of Starship in Boca Chica, Texas and Cape Canaveral, Florida."

Mr. Musk then answered a few questions on Twitter, explaining that the contest would help SpaceX determine the best location for the building – and that the answer could be both.

Mr. Musk tweeted, "The two sites will make many spaceships. This is a competition to see which location is the most effective.

"The answer could be both," he said in another tweet that day.

"Any knowledge gained by one team must be shared with the other, but no other team is obliged to use it."

The reusable craft is designed to take people from the moon, Mars and even deep space.

Starship will launch at the top a powerful Super Heavy rocket, which will also be reusable.

Starship and Super Heavy will use SpaceX's next-generation Raptor engine.

Seven Raptors will power Starship, and the Super Heavy will incorporate 31.

SpaceX has completed the construction of its fourth Raptor and the fifth is under construction at the company's headquarters in Hawthorne, California.

SpaceX will probably reach 100 Raptor by early 2020, he added.

The Starship prototype built in Texas, which SpaceX calls Starhopper, uses a Raptor engine.

Starhopper performed a brief test test at Boca Chica last month, getting up slightly from the pad while staying connected to the ground via a lanyard.

Starship and Super Heavy already have a flight in their manifesto: the Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa has booked a trip around the moon, which should be launched in 2023.
