SpaceX was forced to give up a second attempt to launch its futuristic satellite constellation from Cape Canaveral on Thursday, paving the way for a third opening at the earliest next week.

"Stay up to update the satellite software and recheck everything again," said the company two hours before 22:30 scheduled. Falcon 9 takes off from Launch Complex 40. "We always want to do everything we can on the ground to maximize the success of the mission – next launch opportunity in about a week."

If teams can solve software problems by then, the opening time of the launch window should be similar.

SpaceX plans to retrieve the recall, which had already completed two missions: one in Florida and one in California. Approximately eight minutes after take-off, the first 156-foot leg will land on the Of course I still love you drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

Sixty Starlink satellites are anchored in the payload fairing of the rocket, which will launch the company's attempt to enter the Internet service sector. CEO Elon Musk is hoping to capture between 3% and 5% of the world's $ 1 trillion telecommunications sector and use that revenue to fund future trips to the Moon and Mars.

The Starlink constellation, he said, could become operational with around 400 satellites and start making money at this stage. With approximately 1,500 satellites, Starlink would provide global coverage and help provide connectivity to rural residents or those who pay high prices for less than stellar services, he said.

"There is a fundamental benefit to endorsing people's connectivity choices," Musk told reporters on Wednesday.
