State creates map to help patients find COVID-19 vaccine supplier

HOUSTON – The push to get the COVID-19 vaccine is now shifting into high gear, so the next challenge is to find a supplier, hospital or medical clinic or even a pharmacy that will give you the vaccine.

To help all of us, the Texas Department of State Health Services has implemented an interactive map that makes it easy to find a provider in your neighborhood.

To use it, just click on the Houston area map.

The map will zoom closer and closer to the metropolitan area with each click.

When you get close enough to see the various towns and suburban areas, simply hover over your neighborhood, then click on one of the spots in your neighborhood.

Up displays the location of the supplier, as well as the phone number to call to make an appointment, the supplier’s address and the type of supplier you are looking for, pharmacy, doctor’s office, medical clinic or hospital.

The website even tells you how many doses of vaccine that particular vendor has been administered by the state.

Now that you know where to go, it is important that you call that location before entering.

You will need to make an appointment with the provider, you won’t be able to just come in and get vaccinated.
