The Steam Link app allows desktop games on your iPhone or iPad. Simply pair an MFI or Steam controller to your device, connect to a computer running Steam on the same local network, and start playing your existing Steam games.

There are several requirements for the Steam Link application, including an MFi controller or a Steam controller. The valve says:
