Steve Kerr believes Warriors have four known starters entering the season

When the Warriors open the regular season on December 22 or December 23, who will be in the starting lineup?

Steve Kerr believes he knows four of the five guys who will take the court for the opening board.

“I mean, it would be hard for me not to see Kelly [Oubre] and Andrew [Wiggins] from behind the scenes, “the Golden State coach told reporters Tuesday afternoon.” Obviously, Steph [Curry] and Draymond [Green] will begin.

“I guess there is a chance because we get a glimpse of whatever we might decide we need to change the rotation, change the starting squad. It’s always a possibility.

“But my mindset for this season is that these four guys would be our starting squad, so we’ll see with the central place.”

The Warriors are clearly not planning to give James Wiseman – the second pick in last month’s draft – the day one job.

Looks like Marquese Chriss or Kevon Looney definitely have the opportunity to open the season as a starting center.

Kerr has options as the Warriors have stepped up their roster this offseason.

“On paper we would appear to have pretty good depth,” he said. “We have players who we think can absolutely fill roles.

“Everything has to fit together. The parts have to fit together. We have to find the right rotations and patterns and everything. Lots of work to do, but it’s exciting to think about what we’re working with.
