The Porsche Taycan is seeing massive demand with delivery estimates of up to six months, CEO Oliver Blume said. Demand for Porsche’s all-electric four-door sedan exceeded the company’s production capacity for 2021 in the first quarter alone.
“Our initial production capacity for the Taycan was 20,000 units this year – we sold that many in the first half of the year,” Blume said during a panel discussion at the IAA Mobility trade fair in Munich. The CEO of Porsche noted that “incoming orders are huge”, including from China.
