Study: Vegetarians have a higher risk of stroke and less risk of heart disease

There is good news if you are a vegetarian.

New study shows that vegetarians are less likely to suffer from heart disease than meat eaters.

But that's not all good news. The researchers also discovered that vegetarians are at greater risk of stroke because they do not eat meat.

But vegetarians who also eat fish, known as pescatarian, have shown no increased risk of stroke.

The report followed 48,000 people in the UK for 18 years.
