The roadside lemonade stand of an 8-year-old motorcycle enthusiast has become a popular attraction during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally which kicks off this weekend in South Dakota.
Wyatt Dennis opened the booth last year to earn some cash for a Lego set he wanted, according to FOX 9 in Minneapolis. By the end of the day, he had won the money plus $ 200 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
“So now 50% are going to college, 30% are going to St. Jude and the rest is going to – last year it was Legos, this year it’s an all-terrain bike,” Dennis told FOX 9.
This year, Dennis’ entrepreneurial venture went viral after someone staying at a nearby campground posted about him on social media, allowing him to raise $ 4,500 for the hospital so far. for children.

Dennis doesn’t charge for the lemonade, but donations are appreciated.
“If you are traveling between Rapid City and Sturgis by bike, stop off the Tilford road !!” Darek Swain posted on Facebook last Monday. “There is a little boy who loves motorcycles and gives everyone free lemonade and water. Please stop by and say a big thank you and show off your rides !! The lemonade is DELICIOUS !!!! Also, tip the kid, it’s hot outside, and he’s going to have to start saving now for that Harley. ”
After Swain found out that Dennis was donating most of the money to the hospital and his college, he added, “Get out there and support a good kid in this world.”
