We sweated these results more than anyone else this past season "America has talent" because there was so much talent, we knew we would not be on the same page as America.
Will they reward singers for children? The diversity? Acrobatic dance? Let's just say that things got crazy in a huge way when the host Terry Crews pulled out our low Three numbers at the top of the series and one of them was going to the finals next week.
Only 5 of the 11 acts that took place on stage were going forward, so we have already started a very bad start. And it absolutely guaranteed that anything could happen. And no matter what made happen.
The fans' favorites were devastatingly reduced, with some of the best acts of the evening being forced to stand side by side, knowing that only one of them would continue. Did your favorite do it? Did we do ours? You will have to keep reading to find out.
But first, because it's a one-hour show, there's still a lot to be done, including the hilarious return of Piff the Magic Dragon and his most awesome canine companion in the world, Mr. Piffles. Tokio Myers is also back, giving the kickoff of the series with an electrifying performance.
Who do I think I am? you ask. Well, I spent almost a decade of my life sweating and bleeding to the sound of music as a dancer. From a young boy learning to change randomly by playing with the St. Louis Ballet Company, I have experienced the ups and downs of one of the most physically challenging sports on the planet. During that time, I was also a member of the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, as well as gymnast, writer and draftsman. I had a lot more energy in my youth. And I've spent the last sixteen years analyzing and critiquing reality contest shows for various media publications. I have that.

Tokio Myers and Stewart Copeland
At the beginning of the series, it was fun to see Tokio come back on stage, but this performance lacked the excitement of most of his routines when it was part of the competition. It might have been Copeland's accompaniment or the fact that the voices were prerecorded, which made it a bit more than a glorified club remix, but it was just not such an exciting way to open the series we've seen since Tokio in the past.
Photo booth jokes
This one turned out to be pretty funny, as Terry joined Howie, Gabrielle and Julianne to torment AGT fans in a photo booth by making them do absolutely ridiculous things. They asked a poor woman to imitate all the judges, while another went "lower down" until she was on the floor. It is remarkable to see how many people will follow the instructions, however ridiculous they may be. And pretty damn entertaining too.
Piff the magic dragon
As always, Piff brings an incredible presence and humor on stage, and we love the uselessness of Mr. Piffles as his dog mate. On top of that, the magic is still excellent. In this case, he integrated Terry's watch into a cake that he had already presented and handed to a member of the public. But above all, it makes everything so much fun!
RESULTS
Dunkin & Save
As usual, finalists from 4th, 5th and 6th places were mixed up and sentenced to further torture as part of the Dunkin & Save. Tonight it was about light artist Alex Dowis, singer Emanne Beasha and comedian Ryan Niemiller.
Alex was part of our top 5, but the other two were part of the group, so we have to see how America's American-American backup vote mixes things. It's hard to imagine Alex surviving against the other two Americans or the judges, but strange things have happened.
At the very beginning of the preliminary results, Ryan looked very good, followed by Emanne, followed closely by Alex, third.
Top 3
To start the crucial battle of the Top 3, Terry evoked the unrivaled player, Chris Kläfford and Dom Chambers, which is interesting if you remember how we ranked things last night. For us, these are the last three acts.
That said, we also said that it was an amazing competition night and that 9 of the 11 groups should really have a chance to move forward. Our ninth finalist was the Indian dance team, and that's exactly who progressed V. unbeatable took first place in the final next week.
Guess America really loves the idea of throwing children around.
Then it was time for Lukas & Falco, Marcin Patrzalek and the Detroit Youth Choir to slip away for a few moments. Honestly, although we ranked Marcin in our Top 5 and DYC did not miss out on it, we thought America would make children's singers go by without them being disappointed.
Detroit Youth Choir V.Unbeatable ran their money into the volume and excitement of their celebration as they headed for the final.
There remained Luke Islam and Voices of Service to fight for the last place. We had Luke in 5th and Voices in 1st, and it was out of the question that the United States would not pass a group of soldiers with a real Voice of service.
Dunkin Save Results
Only Dunkin & # 39; Save's finalists were left to complete the Top 5. Did Ryan stand up and win America's vote? You bet he's done it. It looks like the comedy still lives in "AGT" Ryan Niemiller lives in laugha pasher day.
This left Emanne and Alex facing the judges, and even though it seems that Emanne should be approved, they really appreciated the fact that Alex's act is unique. So what did they do?
Julianne and Gabrielle lent their support to Emanne, while Howie wanted to pay tribute to Alex's originality by a vote. But it was not enough, as Simon sent him Emanne Beasha join the other finalists who advance.
