Sumter County Health Department Proposes Two Additional Dates For COVID-19 Vaccinations

The Sumter County Department of Health will be hosting two drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination events next week.

The vaccine is available to residents, non-residents, part-time residents, and seasonal residents aged 65 or older. Registration is compulsory.

The details are as follows:

Monday, January 11 – 9 a.m. to noon Wildwood Community Center

Online only at https://sumtercovidvaxjan11.eventbrite.com
Available registrations will be made at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. 70 registrations; 10 to 11 a.m. 70 registrations; and 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. 60 registrations.

Wednesday, January 13 – 9 a.m. to noon Wildwood Community Center

Online only at https://sumtercovidvaxjan13.eventbrite.com
Available registrations will be made at 9 a.m. to 10.50 a.m. registrations; 10 to 11.50 a.m. registrations; and 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. 40 registrations.

Registration for both events will be available at 8 a.m. on Sunday January 10.

Those who register are asked to arrive during their one-hour time slot with valid identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.) and a copy of the Eventbrite registration ticket. Only those who have successfully registered will be vaccinated.
