Superdrug Will Deploy Botox and Lip Fillers to Controversy in More Stores

SUPERDRUG is about to deploy Botox and lip fillers in another of its stores – although experts say that anti-aging injections can cause "severe infection or paralysis" in some cases.

It is currently only available in its flagship unit in London, where it was launched last August.

The health and beauty retailer was criticized after the announcement of its new Skin Renew service, which offers customers anti-wrinkle and rejuvenation treatments, including Botox and dermal fillers.

Superdrug will only offer this service to people over 25 years of age booked through the customer service, not to people arriving from the main street.

It will cost £ 99 for Botox and £ 125 to £ 349 for loads.

Nurses will be "trained at the highest level" to ensure the safety of clients, said the company, but experts from the British Association of Ethereal Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) have warned of this decision.

This means that practitioners on the high street will no longer be able to offer fillers or botox; only registered practitioners and cosmetic surgeons will be allowed to provide the products.

"I am horrified by the fact that men and women are undergoing procedures from untrained medical professionals," Lambe said.
