Supermodel Stella Tennant’s family confirms she died by suicide

Relatives of the 50-year-old made their comments to The telegraph, who reported that following inquiries into the star’s death, she committed suicide.

“We have been touched by the outpouring of messages of sympathy and support since Stella’s death,” Tennant’s family said in a statement to the British newspaper on Wednesday (January 6th). “She was a beautiful soul, adored by close and good family of friends, a sensitive and talented woman whose creativity, intelligence and humor touched so many people.”

They added: “Stella had been ill for quite some time. So it is a matter of our deepest sadness and despair that she felt unable to continue, despite the love of her loved ones.”

Tennant, one of the most famous models of the ’90s, died on December 22, five days after her 50th birthday. She is survived by her ex-husband David Lasnet, their son Marcel, 22 years old and three girls Cecily, 19, Jasmine, 18 and Iris, 16.
