It was April 11 of last year and the players had just boarded and the bus started driving for the Champions League meeting against Monaco. Sergeant W., now 29 years old, was named in the German media and remotely solved three explosive charges filled with metal pins, placed along the road.

The prosecutor had asked for life imprisonment, but this sentence became a 14-year sentence.
