The bourgeois parties of Trelleborg are now definitely divided. It's a pity. Only one alliance had excellent opportunities to govern the municipality – with a stronger mandate than when the 2006 takeover took place.

In an agreement between the moderates, Christian Democrats and Swedish Democrats, Trelleborg is about to get a new regime. The three parties, which together hold the majority in the General Assembly, have shared power, so that they intend to share all the presidencies: president, vice-president and other vice-president. Moderates and Christian Democrats want to see themselves as leaders and the Swedish Democrats as the main opposition parties. In practice, however, Swedish Democrats are behind the scenes. Other opponents will see the division of the archives as a declaration of war.

Mikael Rubin, the moderator, made it clear during the early elections that he would assume the post of chairman of the city council and that this one could be supported by the Swedish Democrats. When Rubin now gathers a majority behind him as chairman of the city council, the SD is the most important party, with 13 warrants against Moderators 12. These are the three leaders of KD who must weigh on the internal wave bowl for Rubin and M / KD. But it is clear that Mikael Rubin is in a position where sustainable development is absolutely crucial: he is sitting in the passenger seat with one hand on the steering wheel.

Is it brave or stupid? Let's go back to this question. But first, we can say that it is totally useless. If Trelleborg had four United Alliance parties, they could have run the municipality with a large minority, with 20 out of 51 warrants. All parties voted in a number of votes and got five new mandates – mainly through the resurrection Christian Democrats.

In the context of electoral collaboration with, for example, the Söderslätt party, it has grown to 24 out of 51 mandates. It should be linked to the Swedish Democrats 13, the Social Democrats 12 and the Environment Party 2 .

In fact, the Alliance's mandate is stronger than when the historic revolution took over in 2006, with 18 mandates and 5 SPI mandates. The Liberals and the center party participated unscrupulously.

Now there will be no more government alliance. The Liberals and the center party seem to have seen the situation that such a regime would mean deprivation of the SD, apparently contrary to 2006. Although the Liberals worked well with the electoral movement during the past term, they fell as a result SD elections. -frågan. And at the same time, the center party representatives and moderators seem to be in conflict since the last negotiation with whom.

Whatever the mistake is that it was not possible to sew a 2018 Alliance, they may be embarrassed internally. But Trelleborgs Allehand's leaders believe that a mixed alliance government could have worked well if you pulled out the trenches, went to the spa weekend in Mossbylund and planned to jointly target Trelleborg. on a better track.

The support of the Swedish Democrats in Trelleborg is important, historically linked to the collapse of the Social Democrats. But the bourgeois parties resisted this change of political landscape, completely over time and considerably strengthened in the last elections. Of course, they should use this mandate.

Now, Trelleborg is now in a ruling coalition where Christian moderates and democrats must deal with the Swedish Democrats as the largest party. According to Mikael Rubin, he will succeed his political project and strengthen his power and that of the moderate in the next elections. He plays high. The calculation takes into account the fact that SD has not up to now praised local politics with its own proposals and that voters, if they undergo changes over the last four years, will reward M better and no SD.

This leader page does not intend to introduce moralities into the new council. But we need to know where sustainable development comes from and how its representatives have expressed themselves in different contexts. Moderators must understand that they must now assume their responsibilities not only for the representatives of their own party, but also for sustainable development. Through history, we know that it is risky. Managing sustainable development as one of the other political parties, giving them respect and imposing the demands of all other political opponents is one thing. But getting into a jointly controlled practice is something else.

For the citizens, in the end, that's what really happens in terms of results. Every new student who achieves the goals, every hole in the Hedvägen and every investment in the goodwill in the campaign in the future Trelleborg project is progress. Whoever succeeds is likely to be rewarded by the voters.

It was a combined Trelleborg alliance, with a strong constituency mandate and a negotiating capacity with other parties. It's a pity that the officials seem to swallow this chance. We should have learned from 2006 and do it even better. Now the Liberals and the center party are moving into the M / KD / SD constellation to succeed or fail with that.

The role of the opposition in the next Council should be taken into account. Does it succeed in being constructive, necessary in a municipality? The center party and the Liberals have so strongly insisted on the new regime that it can be difficult. Becoming a Social Democrat support in the opposition is also not an attractive existence.

The Social Democrats, for their part, can take a step back in the opposition, think about the dissolution of the party in recent decades and try to find a new way forward. S's strong point is that the traditional bourgeois parties failed to take control together. It will be interesting to see if the local social democrat chooses to use this position to build from the bottom up. One can imagine an opposition effort to score hard against M / KD / SD. Good luck with that, Trelleborg may face future elections where the traditional center, with the center party and the liberals, is stuck and forgotten.
