What does the blue-green majority of Uppsala have to do with the right to abortion? This question raises Asal Gohari, president of SSU Uppland, in a debate article in UNT.
Asal Gohari writes that the newly elected political regime of the Uppsala region did not address women's right to abortion when presenting their program. According to her, the majority also needs the support of "SD abortionists of the regional council".
She wondered whether there was any reason to worry about the abortion policy that the Uppsala region will apply in the future.
Asal Gohari also claims that two regional councils, M and KD, are qualified abortionists. One of the designated regional councils is Stefan Olsson, representing the moderates.
In his discussion article, Asal Gohari mentioned some articles that Stefan Olsson published on his blog ten to eleven years ago.
One of his blog entries dates from 2008 and bears the title "Tragic but still fair". This is an eleven-year-old girl in Romania who became pregnant after a rape and refused the abortion.
It is difficult to interpret the title of Stefan Olsson differently from what he thought was normal that the abortion was denied to the girl.

In a 2007 blog post, he wrote that the RFSU organization thought that all people, including an 18-week-old host family, had the same value, but RFSU still considers "that". it is acceptable to kill that person "(the fetus, UNT: s note).
He felt that this showed "how absurd abortion crimes resonated".
Stefan Olsson told the newspaper that he was no longer defending the opinions he had expressed on the blog.
– I recently read what I wrote in 2007 and 2008 and I think that today, it was written unequivocally.
Did you mean that it was true that the raped girl would not be abandoned?
– I do not remember, I do not want to interpret what I wrote.
How do you see today the right to abortion?
"I share the attitude of moderators, which means that I comply with Swedish legislation.
What made you change your position?
"I have read and pondered what I would like in an unwanted pregnancy situation.
Does the new blue-green majority of the Uppsala region have a critical attitude towards the right to abortion?
"We have not discussed the issue, which is a sign that we agree that it is the current rules that apply.
What would you do if someone from the Uppsala region wanted to restrict the right to abortion?
– I would oppose it.
