An unusual type of bird flu has been discovered in another bird in Sweden, this time with a snake, reports the Swedish Agricultural Agency, writes the BLT.

The first case of the H5N6 virus was discovered in Blekinge in February. The current discovery, the other in Sweden, was made in the same region. According to the state's veterinary office, infected birds would have been affected in Europe during the winter.

The virus is contagious to birds, but presents no risk to humans.
