The doctor confused infection and cancer and did not investigate a woman who, after the transition age, was suffering from bleeding in the abdomen, which could be a sign of cancer.

He was found incompetent by the Ivo inspection of care and care, but the Authority nevertheless recommends him to continue working as a doctor for a three-year trial period during which he must follow a training plan.

The story of this 39-year-old doctor was known last year when Mission Review made an initial report about the doctor who was working at a health center in Sundsvall. It was discovered that the doctor, among other things, had misunderstood that one of his patients had skin cancer because he was confused with an infection.

After the doctor worked for a short time at the health center, it was decided that his records would be monitored. He has also started to take training and pass the necessary exams to obtain a medical certificate. He did not pass the exams.

Notified to Ivo

The doctor resigned from the health center and his officials reported it to Ivo.

But after ten months of investigation, Ivo decided to close the file without continuation because it was considered that the "lack of knowledge of the doctor could not be related to any specific event".

After finishing his work in Sundsvall, the doctor started working at the Kirseberg health center in Malmö.

There, the doctor continued to mistreat the patients for two years, without the officials taking any action, reports UG. This despite the fact that colleagues reacted.

10 notifications Lex Maria

The doctor is trained in the Czech Republic and has a Swedish medical certificate since 2007.

After the UG had examined the fall of the man this spring, the Skåne County County Council opened an investigation. The county council found 10 cases reported by Lex Maria because they had resulted or could have resulted in serious health problems. The doctor has also been reported as a danger to the safety of the patient.

"It is clear that you sometimes make mistakes, but maybe not of this gravity, which is repeated," says medical specialist Kristian Svenberg, a medical specialist at the UG.

As part of the program review this spring, Karin Träff Nordström, division chief at Skåne University Hospital, defended the doctor. Now she says to UG:

"The information I received during repeated contacts with the case manager, who in turn spoke to a supervisor and a medical advisor, was that this information was sufficient and that I trusted them." it turned out that this information was incorrect.

Can continue to work

At the same time, Ivo examined the doctor and examined 18 patient cases. In 16 of these cases, Ivo means that the doctor broke up. Among other things, he wrote medications without medical evaluations. He also failed to send references and misinterpreted test reports, reports UG.

"(…) revealed a clear lack of skills and judgment and (…) been unfair in the practice of his profession.Evility can undoubtedly be important for patient safety " wrote Ivo according to UG.

However, the doctor may continue to work until further notice. According to the decision of Ivo, he can continue to work for a trial period of three years and simultaneously attend training.

– The trial period is a very strong safeguard. The doctor will be under control for three years, said Thomas Mehralizade, head of the Ivo Department, at the UG.

The final decision on the probationary period is taken by the Board of Appeal of the Health Services. This should happen later this spring.

Norwegian medical certificate application

The doctor resigned and later worked in a health center in Rosengård, Malmö.

He also stopped there and then asked for a Norwegian medical certificate with the help of a certificate from the National Board of Health.

The doctor refused to comment on the appearance of the UG. However, he told Ivo that he was very stressed because of the shortage of staff and because he had been quickly questioned about the fact that the instructions were bad and that his leaders had been traded to several times.
