Fireworks are not pushed as high

The New Year's celebrations are being moved to Varberg Square and the fireworks will not be pushed as high in the air nor sound as loud as the sound of the traditional fireworks. In addition, the music will be synchronized with the music. According to the municipality, it becomes more animal friendly.

"We are organizing this celebration in town so that it is more accessible and so-called low-fire fireworks that do not sound as loud, but it's in sync with the music, So it will be an interesting feature, so when it comes to celebrating the New Year in Varberg with a firework display, it will not be as bad as this year, "said Martin Andersson.

Laser show much more expensive

He says the municipality has considered the laser show, but it costs a lot more and the show can be complicated by bad weather.

"The problem is also that you have to be in a very good time to bring in someone who can perform a laser show.So, of course, switching to a laser show without it requiring more money and more luck with the weather.
