Three years dead – was hit by a bus in Stockholm

Police were informed that a small child had been hit by a bus in Råcksta at 16:30 on Tuesday afternoon.

"The child was seriously injured and was taken to hospital by helicopter ambulance, and I just found out that she died," said police spokesman Per Fahlström.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are still unclear.

"There will of course be an investigation into what happened," says Per Fahlström.

The driver was taken out of service

The driver is decommissioned until further notice, the bus company, Arriva's press officer, Christer Ekelund, announced:

"The exams were done by the police on site and, during the day, we will do a drug test," he says.

A technical examination of the bus will be carried out. Among other things, the computer and the bus cameras should be emptied.

"There is a computer that records driving, how fast and at what time," says Ekelund.
