The region solves the lack of water with reservoir – Company

As there is not enough drinking water, there is currently a total halt to construction in and around Lickershamn, in northwestern Gotland. The Gotland region is now planning to address this problem by building a large water reservoir near Route 149 at the entrance to Lickershamn.

"It is imperative to get a proper tank to start building in this area.The tank we have used will allow 800 cubic meters of water and represents an investment of 6 to 8 million euros. said project manager Anders Wahlund.

If all goes as planned, construction work will begin in the spring of 2019, then the tank will run until the summer of 2020.

– The tank itself will be nestled in the hill, so that it will not be seen. What we can see is the technological building adjacent to the reservoir.
