S and L jointly organize a press conference in Malmö

The Social Democrats and the liberals form a historical regime for Malmö, in the field of elective cooperation with the Party of the Environment.

"If you have a well-functioning municipal leadership, it depends on cooperation," said Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh (S), chair of the city council at the meeting.

L: "The starting point is that we will find a common line"

S and L share the responsibility for the boards. When a party can appoint a president, the other party has a vice president – the position "to ensure stability," according to Kursar. We also share the highest positions of the municipal council.

The Liberals will be assigned four positions in the city council for schools, support functions, democracy and urban construction. L will be appointed chair of the elementary school board, support to functions, recreation and environment.

The budget can be changed

The Liberals are a shared party and have received many criticisms for their management with S. But Kursar believes that this was opened during the electoral process.

Stjernfeldt Jammeh: "We ruled in minority earlier"

He says that the mood of the party is good despite the controversy.

"The liberals decided that they had the right to take responsibility for the citizens of Malmö," said Roko Kursar.

"We now have a real chance to drive Malmö in a liberal direction and we are excited about it.

Now, the focus is on suggestions "that lead to what the parties said during the electoral movement," said Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh.

"I am convinced that we can submit proposals that satisfy both parties and we will be back with more concrete suggestions," said Stjernfeldt Jammeh.

She believes that the situation of minorities will not be a problem.

"We headed the city council with different constellations, we did not understand our suggestions when the SD and the left party met.This does not happen so often." According to Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh, many municipalities have a minority government.
