The award was presented at the annual National Olympic Committee (Anoc) Gala in Tokyo.
"It is extremely unrealistic to be elected as the main team of the game. I still find it hard to see that we won an Olympic gold medal," said the woman Anna Hasselborg in a press release.
In 2018, the Hasselborg teams, including Sara McManus, Sofia Maberg and Agnes Knochenhauer, also won the gold medal. The team is aiming for the Beijing Olympics in 2022 in the long run.
"Now, for the first time, we can establish a four-year plan against the Beijing Olympics, and we will certainly take advantage of this opportunity," said Hasselborg, who was in Tokyo to receive the award.
