This year, Systembolaget remains closed for four consecutive days.

The fact that Christmas Eve of the year comes on a Monday does not only mean a very long leave for normal office hours. It also means that the system, or the company if you wish, will be closed for a longer continuous period.

On Christmas Eve, the companies in the system are "really" open, but the Sunday rule, the day of the week on December 23 this year, is no exception. Then it will be Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and birthdays.

At 10 pm, it's time for someone who wants to take a cup of glögg, nubbe or julölöl at the Christmas table to visit the wine and spirits monopoly. But beware, as we are a Saturday, the shops will close at 3 pm, but if you miss the opening hours, look at a white Christmas.

• Thursday, December 20: regular opening hours

• Friday 21 December: open until 19.00 at least

• Saturday, December 22: all stores are open until 3:00 pm

• Sunday, December 23: closed

• Monday, December 24 (Christmas Eve): closed

• Tuesday, December 25 (Christmas Day): closed

• Wednesday 26 December (Christmas anniversary): closed

Here are the opening times of Systembolaget New Year 2018:

• Friday, December 28: open until 19:00 at least

• Saturday, December 29: all stores are open until 3:00 pm

• Sunday, December 30th: closed

• Monday, December 31 (New Year's Day): all stores are open until 3:00 pm.
