Gais was the first to look for another goalkeeper, Fredrik Andersson. But the goalkeeper chose to return to the Örgryte club he was from before the 2016 season. The transition was completed this weekend.
Now the Gothenburg Green-Black team has targeted Marko Johansson.
– It is clear that I am in a difficult situation for me. Especially now that Dusan has returned to Malmö. I want to compete for first place, now that he came here, 35 years old with a lot of routine, it becomes more difficult. I am not interested in competing as a second guard. Then I might as well leave this place aside and look for me elsewhere and have some playing time. I am in a time when I really need to play, says Marko Johansson at the GP and confirms that he there is "an interest" of Gais.
Marko Johansson has been on loan to Trelleborgs FF for the past two seasons. The contract with MFF, 20 years old, extends to 2020.
