The special wage tax for people over 65 must be abolished this summer. The government has tabled a proposal to abolish this tax on the income of the elderly from, for example, salaries, fees and other remunerations and income from active business activities.
The bill proposes to eliminate the special wage tax of 6.15% on July 1 of this year.
The proposal comes from the budget of moderates and Christian Democrats that was adopted by the Riksdag this fall.
