After the theft: it's over with money on the bank

The Kinda-Ydre Sparbank immediately amends its cash management procedures as of Monday morning, when the bank's office opens in Österbymo.

This is a direct result of the armed robbery with the Avidaberg savings bank on Friday afternoon. Three masked men who, according to witnesses, were armed with automatic weapons or objects similar to those of a car, went on the flight with an unknown amount of money. They should have left the office of the bank with the flight to Ikeakassar. No one was physically injured as part of the robbery.

However, the police patrol that triggered the pursuit of the van was hijacked, after which the pursuit was halted and reinforcements were called. How many people who participated in the flight are still unclear?

After the robbery, the Kinda-Ydre Sparbank held an additional meeting of the bank's management on Sunday. It was decided that from today, the wealthy savings bank would immediately cease all cash management in the Österbymo, Rimforsa and Horn offices on Monday.

– We do this for security reasons. The safety of our employees and our customers above all, says Johan Widerström, CEO of Kinda-Ydre Sparbank, in a press release in which he continues:

"Our newly built Kisa office enjoys a very high level of security, which allows us to continue to manage cash flow.

The operations in the local offices continue in all other respects, as usual. Tickets also work normally, in cooperation with Bankomat AB.

– All wrecks below requiring cash management at a bank branch are welcome at Kisakontoret. There, we continue cash management as usual every day of the week, says Johan Widerström.
