The elections held in September this year cost about 400 million crowns. The authority expects an additional choice to land at roughly the same figure. Stock Photography.

Dagens Nyheter writes that an additional choice would cost about as much as an ordinary choice.

This is 400 million Swedish kroner, according to the Authority, charged with preparing an additional choice.

"The big challenge of the Swedish system is to access the production and distribution of rolling mills and rolling stock," said Anna Nyqvist, First Vice President of DN.

The most demanding items are municipal grants to municipalities, production of election materials, distribution and postage, and staff costs.

Since the advance of democracy, we had previously only had an additional choice in Sweden, during the elections to the second chamber of 1958. But if Ulf Kristersson (M) does not receive enough support as prime minister on Wednesday and if three other votes fail, there will be an additional choice.

The election must then take place within one month of the fourth vote.
