Stolen to Lexus – found abandoned

The vault of the Nordea bank in Märsta was stolen by four masked offenders.

Police were alerted to the bank robbery at 10:18. Shortly before, a shooting had occurred in downtown Vasby Upplands, north of Stockholm.

"Someone shot in the air, we are there and are working," said Kjell Lindgren at the police management center.

An alleged hijacking

According to reports to Aftonbladet, the shooting was a diversion. Three shots should have been relieved and one offender left the place on foot. Empty sleeves were found.

"We will look, of course, if there is a connection between these two events, with the aim of attracting police personnel from the very first stage," Lindgren told the police.

Four masked authors are suspected of having committed the theft inside a safe in a bank of Nordea in Märsta. They should have entered a basement door, sources said.

Officials left the scene in a fake black Lexus, which should have been found abandoned in Märsta, according to Aftonbladet's obligations.

Nobody should be hurt

The police confirm on its website that four armed men should have robbed a bank in Märsta and turn away from the vehicle found. No one should be hurt by theft. Existing police personnel are conducting lockouts.
