The alarm arrived just before midnight Wednesday.
A villa in the municipality of Mark then caught fire. An ambulance and several emergency services, approximately 15 men in total, were pushed to the site.
"The villa was completely submerged when the rescue service came out," said Peter Adlersson, spokesman for the presidential police in the western region.
The house could not save and the public service decided to let it burn.

"We could not do anything, we could not get in. When we arrived, the roof had already begun to break," said Niklas Ignell, head of the Södra Älvsborg emergency service.
Thursday morning, the cause of the fire and the presence of someone in the villa are not clear.
"There is a car in the driveway, but we do not know if there is anyone in the house," said Peter Andersson, police.
The place was locked and a fire investigation began. A technical investigation will begin as soon as possible, police said.
