Crude oil prices at the lowest level in a little over a year

The price of crude oil in the global market is at its lowest since the autumn of 2017. A futures contract for delivery of Brentolja next month fell below the $ 58 a barrel mark.

The price level can be compared to the annual high of more than 86 dollars a barrel in early October.

The sharp drop in prices has fueled the upcoming US stock market statistics from the oil cartel of OPEC, which Saudi Arabia has called for a new deal on production constraints.
