All passengers were evacuated after evacuating smoke aboard an X2000 train to Gothenburg Central Station this morning.
The event created several delays in the rail traffic.
The smoke release sound came in at 8:30. The train should have gone to Stockholm.
– This occurred on board the train in the isolated locker of all the other cars. Staff and travelers are vacant, "said Carl-Johan Linde, SJ press officer.
It was at this point that the train was heading towards the dock as the smoke began. Relief has arrived and SJ has ordered a new train to take passengers to Stockholm.
The trip was delayed by about 1.5 hours.
Several trains late
– No one is hurt as we know. Affected passengers can always contact our on-site staff for more information, says Linde.
We still do not know what caused the smoke, but an investigation will be added to determine what happened.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the incident of tomorrow caused delays in other trains from Gothenburg.
– There are a number of consecutive delays. Individual departures are hard to say, but there were a number of tracks where the feed was cut off for safety. There are trains leaving from Gothenburg that will be late, "said Joanna Ljunggren, press officer at Trafikverket.
