Difficult to stop cheating on university exam – P4 Kalmar

In 120 locations across the country, the university exam is written on Sunday with over 10,000 participants. This represents a decrease of 16% compared to the test last fall. At the University of Linnaeus, more than 22% have lost.

In order to make the task more difficult for cheaters, UHR wants to conduct a body search of the participants and the confidentiality of those who report a suspicious fraud.

But the government wants to investigate the matter first. A possible decision can only come next year. Meanwhile, UHR can use the resources available to stop cheating.
"We are doing what we can, among other things, we have decided to laminate the evidence so we can not access the questions in advance. We also perform a technical analysis of the test," Tuula Kuosmanen explains.

This spring, in the midst of the university competition, the police and eco-friendly authorities went to an apartment in Norrköping, at the same time police arrested a supervisor. Later, three suspects were arrested for selling the test response to participants for several years.

Stopping the shot can be very difficult, but we are doing everything in our power to minimize it, Tuula Kuosman points out.

"What we can do is make the cheat job as difficult as possible and make sure that the consequences are as great as possible for the cheater," said Tuula Kuosmanen, head of the UHR division.
