The National Board of Health reviews, on behalf of the government, the state of knowledge regarding two groups. It is partly about the care of people with eating disorders and partly about the consequences for adults with ADHD, such as sick leave and unemployment. One million crowns is spent on the mission of eating disorders and two million on the mission adhd. The latter will be conducted in consultation with the Swedish Employment Agency and the Swedish Social Security Agency.
The Minister of Social Affairs, Annika Strandhäll (S), said in a press release that she wanted national support for the care of people with eating disorders and that anyone able to working should have the opportunity to do it.
"We find that there is a risk that people with a diagnosis of ADHD have more difficult conditions to enter the labor market after unemployment and sick leave," said Strandhäll.
