Cyber Monday has become the most important day to date.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over and e-commerce merchants are now reporting record sales over the past week. And Amazon is of course no exception.
"Keep breaking the record each year"
The US online trading giant has said it has sold 18 million toys and 13 million clothing and fashion accessories to customers around the world over the past weekend. Overall, sales since last year 's Black Friday have increased by 20% for small and medium – sized businesses that sell via the Amazon platform.
"Black Friday and Cyber Monday continue to break Amazon's records each year, which tells us that customers like the bargains to start their Christmas shopping," said Jeff Wilke, CEO of Amazon. Amazon Worldwide Consumer, in a press release.
Sold 180 million properties
The absolute climax of "the Turkey 5", while Amazon calls the Thanksgiving period at Cyber Monday, should not have really been Black Friday, as many other online resellers have experienced it.
