Forest fires continue to develop in the drought throughout Sweden. In Härjedalen, a wildfire has spread uncontrollably from Gävleborg and now threatens real estate, including Olingdal and Härjåsjön. Everyone is welcome to leave the region. According to the rescue services, there should be about 60 properties

– According to our estimates, the fire can be in Olingdal at 4-5, and so we invite residents to leave, says Johan Möller, chief of rescue, at Ekot.

In the regions there are also several farms and many animals. The evacuation of animals in Härjåsjön is in progress.

– We have heard that 40 to 60 cows have been evacuated and that the last one has arrived to pick up the animals, says Monica Landin, communications officer at the Jämtland rescue service.
