– We found that hygiene procedures have improved over time, especially basic hygiene procedures and compliance with these procedures. When we examined the link between hygiene routines and the risk of sepsis, we found a link between catheter routines, blood culture procedures, the use of antibiotic therapy preventive and the risk of sepsis.
Risk of pulmonary disease
Preventing infections is important because sepsis during the neonatal period can lead to long-term illness. The results of the research showed a link between sepsis and the risk of developing a serious lung disease.
