By the end of September, it was clear that US Cerner had won the battle for the Västra Götaland region. When the purchase was finalized, the choice was focused on their Millennium system.
As often, the decision was made by one of the other finalists, this time by DXC.
But the administrative law rejected the revision and the contract with Cerner is now written and clear.
The owner of the program, Ragnar Lindblad, only sees it as the starting point for the next phase.
"We can now begin to put in place a common care information environment, which will make it easier for our employees, residents and patients," he said.
If the plan is in place, the Millennium will be introduced to the region early in 2023. Even the municipal health system will be able to join it.
