Until now, the Authority had recommended prioritizing the so-called risk groups, but now the lack of vaccine is so important that it is a matter of prioritizing groups at risk.
"The vaccine is almost finished, so there is not much left to distribute," said Gunilla Persson, an infectious medicine assistant at the Västerbotten County Council.
150 doses remaining at NUS
This means that the so-called medical risk groups first accept the remaining doses.
According to Gunilla Persson, there are about 150 doses of vaccine in particularly exposed clinics at Norrlands University Hospital, NUS: hematologist, oncologist, neonatology department, lung department and geriatric services.
"There may also be doses for staff that can be redeployed to people in risk groups," Persson said.
No news until the end of January
It does not know how many doses of vaccine remain in the county's 39 health centers, but there are still health centers offering vaccines to patients in at-risk groups.
The adjunct surgeon at the infection also announced that the Västerbotten County Council would no longer receive vaccines until late January next year.
"The interest has been surprisingly high this year," she said, who also believes that the flu activity is at least very low at the moment.
