Millions of tax revenues may have been paid in excess of the fees of judges of the country's supervisory boards, reports SVT Nyheter.

The criminal investigation commission survey shows that about one third of the 28 committees apply a practice that does not support the acquis and thus pays too much money. In some cases, judges received 40,000 extra Swedish crowns each year.
The stricter interpretation is now applied across the country. The prosecution has not yet decided whether judges who receive excessive fees will have to repay money.
The oversight committees decide what happens when a person found guilty of lightness or parole fails.
