After spending some time in a French hospital in Grenoble, Schumacher was allowed to return to Gland's family home for ongoing rehabilitation – but specific information about his condition failed.
In August, for the first time, testimonies came from the family. The French magazine Paris Match said it spoke to two members of his family who regularly go to Gland's house.

Paris Match has offered more details on the state of Schumacher. They say that the 49-year-old has lost all his language skills and suffers from serious memory problems. A strong medical staff of fifteen men watches him daily in Villa Gland.

"Last" interview with Schumacher published
The Schumacher family has now posted an unpublished interview on his website with the 49-year-old.
The interview was recorded shortly before the ski accident and would be the "last" interview recorded with Schumacher.
In the clip, he talks about his strongest memories of Formula 1 and reveals, among other things, that he was afflicted with poor self-esteem.
This despite being a total of seven world champion titles.
"I've always felt that I was not good enough to work hard, and that's one thing that makes me what I've become," said Michael Schumacher in the interview.
At the same time, son Mick Schumacher, who recently became acquainted with Formula 2, talked about the meaning of his father.
