David Lega, city council and heavy name of the Alliance in Gothenburg, is proposed as second on the list.

"It's great to get that confidence, now I hope the meeting gives me confidence," he says.

In general, the AG is in favor of the nominating committee's proposal and David Lega will likely be one of the party's leading candidates in the European elections.

KD held strong legislative elections in September and, while maintaining this trend, it is likely that the party will eliminate several warrants within the EU. Today, the party only has a parliamentary mandate.

"Looking at the Riksdag results, we are getting closer to three mandates, Brexit also means that the distribution of mandates between countries is changing, but there are still many steps," said David Lega.

Changes must not be bad

It would also mean that David Lega will leave his role as advisor and group leader for KD in Gothenburg.

During his years in Gothenburg, he established himself as one of KD's most prominent politicians, not only in Gothenburg, but also in the rest of the country.

You played a leading role for the KD and the Alliance, how do you think that will affect?

– All changes give effect, but they do not have to be bad. The party is much bigger than me, if I could leave before next summer, it's the party that can name my successor, "said David Lega.

Can leave the historical plateau

Next week, the Alliance will seek to form a minority government in Gothenburg to achieve a historic change of power.

"I have managed my election, namely to fight for a new board. All indications are that we managed to break a 24-year-old S-board and I feel I have managed to make what I was doing.

Do you know the Gothenburg policy?

– No, this idea was not available until I received the nominations of party members. When I became, I felt that I had the responsibility to get up. I have one of the most fun jobs in the world in Gothenburg. Some of these ideas do not exist.
