No new budgets for agriculture in the moderation budget.
In its budget motion, the moderators support some of the Christian measures proposed to farmers affected by the drought this summer. Then they would see a retroactive reduction of the agricultural diesel tax for the second half of 2018. Something is not included in the fictitious budget.
"We have chosen to drop the government support provided for in the supplementary amending budget this autumn, so we feel that the problem is a bit late," said Maria Malmer Stenergard, spokesperson for the environmental and agricultural moderator.
The July proposal to bring the reduction of the diesel tax to 2.43 in 2019, however, is with. This is a temporary increase that then drops to 1.93.
Support interest
Maria Malmer does not want to say if the moderators could think to support the proposal on the late interests of the Christian Democrats.
– This question is premature. However, the appearance of such a system does not seem very simple. So we chose to make these simple reductions.
Otherwise, the moderates follow what the Red-Green government proposed before the elections, that 760 million will go to drought-affected farmers. The sum does not appear in the autumn budget bill because it was seen as a type of political initiative that a transitional government can not propose.
LRF President Palle Borgström welcomes moderates' proposals.
– They understood in what postponed position the peasants are after the drought, he said to the TT.
The moderators also support the Forest Board's proposal to compensate SEK 72 million for damages caused by the summer forest fires.
