Car racing More than 100 race drivers want to compete in the new W Series race series, which will kick off next year and is expected to be the first female F1 driver since 1976.
Fifty-five of them started the process and in the end, 18 drivers enter the starting lineup of the Formula 3 cars at the premiere in Hockenheim on May 3rd.
Captured include Carmen Jorda, developer of the Lotus and Renault Formula 1 team, Amna al-Qubaisi, 18, the first race driver in the UAE to race Formula 4 in Italy, and British Jamie Chadwick, the first woman to win a British Formula 3 series competition.
W Series has the equivalent of 13.6 million euros in the prize pool next year.
