The cost of the Netflix streaming service is the highest in Scandinavia, given the number of movies and TV shows you receive for payment. Most of them pay the Danes, but even Swedes and Norwegians pay more than twice as many Canadians.
Netflix is more affordable in some countries than in others. Scandinavia ranks last when the cost per film or TV show is compared in 78 countries. Here are the actors of one of the company's greatest successes, House of Cards, at an event in Los Angeles in October.
The Comparitech analyst compared the Netflix libraries from 78 countries, compared it to the standard monthly fee and got the cost per movie or TV episode.
Perhaps surprisingly, it is not the United States that is worth the money, but in neighboring Canada, where customers have the choice between 5,551 films and television shows. For this, they pay the equivalent of 6.90 US dollars. The release by title will be about a tenth of a century.
There are few who would say that it is expensive, but it is not the purpose of the comparison.
At the bottom of the list is Denmark, where the Netflix library contains 3,305 titles. The monthly rate is 11:94 $, which is three times the price per look in Canada. Sweden improves with 3,294 titles for a monthly fee equivalent to $ 9:81. Norway is also in the low and before, countries such as Tunisia, Iraq and Jordan lie.
Factors that affect supply-weighted costs include exchange rate fluctuations as well as translation costs in smaller language areas.
However, Marie Nilsson, CEO of media company Mediavision, does not like to remain blind about the number of titles available.

Many Netflix customers around the world are fed up with custom in their own country and use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service to access content, for example, from the United States. Each technical magazine regularly tests these VPN services and how they work against Netflix and other streaming services.
Netflix, of course, is not happy about that and refers to the fact that they have made deals with film and television companies to view in selected countries. The company's contract of employment, which all customers must approve, also states that "primary" can only be seen in the country where the account is located. However, if you do not live in China, Russia or Iran, where VPN services are illegal, it is hardly criminal to circumvent this agreement as long as the customer pays his monthly fees.
Marie Nilsson does not like to override the risk that Netflix uses VPN services.

Netflix and the new rules of the EU
About 1.5 million Swedish households subscribe to Netflix.
The EU introduced earlier this year a ban on so-called geoblocking, ie regional barriers. However, this prohibition is mainly aimed at electronic commerce. This does not apply to streaming services with copyrighted material such as Netflix.
However, the new EU rules also mean that you can include their streaming subscriptions for shorter stays in other EU countries, such as when traveling in the Mediterranean. However, the person watching movies or television during holidays abroad should know that there is usually a ceiling to the amount of data included in the Swedish mobile subscription.
