The message prompted Spark to put the brakes on its plans to assess the underlying reasons for the authority.
The general manager of the GCSB, Andrew Hampton, said in a brief statement that an investigation had been opened regarding the Telecommunications Security Act, Interception Capability and Telecommunications Security Act.
"I informed Spark that a significant risk of network security had been identified," writes Andrew Hampton.
Previously, the United States and Australia had shipped Huawei from their 5g networks, while countries such as Canada and the United Kingdom had not seen any reason to stop the Chinese supplier. In Sweden, there are also no signs that Huawei would be blacklisted.
