Now comes the budget of moderates – with environmental efforts in defense

When moderators present their budget motions on Friday, the focus will be on reforms in favor of jobs and growth. Party leader Ulf Kristersson and spokesperson for economist Elisabeth Svantesson write Debate DN during the term, they want to take action to abolish the welfare tax and increase the deduction of the employment tax.

"So it's better for more people to move from one job to another, and a triple RUT deduction helps create easier tasks," they write.

Next year already, the moderates want to increase the resources allocated to the welfare of SEK 5 million to municipalities and county councils in Sweden.

18 defense militias in three years

Even defense investments will reach 2% of GDP. They want to invest a total of 18 billion SEK in defense during the period 2019-2021.

The motion on the budget also presents a proposal to strengthen the police authority by increasing the number of police employees by 10,000 people by 2024.

"The moderators' budget movement achieves a bourgeois policy that can give a new direction to Sweden," they write on the page of the debate.
