The stock market has been strengthened, among other things, thanks to a statement by White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow at the G20 summit to be held this weekend in Argentina. According to Kudlow, this meeting is an opportunity for President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping to "turn the sheets" into the trade war between the two major economies of the world.
Shares in the Japanese shipping sector were driven by the sharp rise in freight prices.
Even in Shanghai, it was on the rise, with a 0.8% increase in closing trade. The Hang Seng index of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange then rose 1.2%.
