Despite the difficulties in reaching an agreement on government issues, pension taxes can already be reduced next year. The issue is currently being discussed between the government and the Alliance.
"We think it's reasonable," said Elisabeth Svantesson, spokeswoman for the moderate economy class.
If there is no new government in place on November 15, the transitional government will be allowed to add a transition budget. It should not contain controversial or clear proposals about political parties, but ends up largely with a gray area.
As a result, the government discussed budget principles with the Alliance's political and economic spokespersons.
"There is new ground and we are now forming practices," says Elisabeth Svantesson.
The question is urgent
There is an urgent need to reduce pension taxes, which virtually all parties have promised to do in the electoral movement.
"There are many issues that can be dealt with after January 1, but with respect to the tax on retirement, that's a question you have to decide before. And it is also a discussion that we have launched with the government, that we can think that it is reasonable that it comes, says Elisabeth Svantesson.
"It's an issue that stands out, where there is a broad consensus in parliament.What the government chooses to do, it's up to it to decide.
The final decision on this will be taken on 12 December, which means that the Swedish Tax Agency would have two weeks to amend the tax tables. But according to Svantesson, it is possible.
Not clear on the budget of the Alliance
If a transitional government submits a budget proposal, the Riksdag parties can then exercise it with its budget proposals. However, Elisabeth Svantesson (M) does not want to answer the question of whether moderates or the Alliance intend to submit a budget proposal.
– We will be back on time with a message about it. But an important distinction is that the government is a transitional government, but the parliament is not a transition day. It is a popular parliament where you can make political proposals. She has a lot to say about her desire to continue her policy in the next election.
The Alliance parties are currently discussing the desirability of presenting a joint budget motion.
"Alliance party leaders will come back," Svantesson said.
